About Unlisted Report

An independent newsroom covering cybersecurity, data breaches, privacy and the people defending the internet.

Unlisted Report was founded on a simple observation: cybersecurity news is either written for experts who already know the jargon, or dumbed down until it's useless. We sit in the middle. Our stories explain what happened, why it matters and what you should actually do about it — whether you run a security team or just want to keep your family safe online.

What we cover

  • Data breaches — who was hit, what was taken, and what affected people should do next.
  • Vulnerabilities — the flaws being exploited right now, and whether you're exposed.
  • Ransomware and cybercrime — the gangs, the tactics and the takedowns.
  • Privacy — how your data is collected, sold and abused, and how to push back.
  • AI security — how artificial intelligence is changing both attack and defence.
  • Reviews — independent, hands-on evaluations of security and privacy tools.

How we work

Every story is verified against primary sources — official filings, regulator notices, vendor advisories and original reporting — before publication. Our full standards are set out in our editorial policy, and when we get something wrong we fix it openly, as described in our corrections policy.

How we make money

Unlisted Report is funded by clearly labelled advertising and, on some review pages, affiliate partnerships. Commercial relationships never influence our coverage or rankings, and every paid relationship is disclosed on the page where it appears. See our advertising page for the standards we hold sponsors to.
